Our System Design Analysis (SDA) team combines quantitative system data, user input, and proprietary simulation modeling to assess pneumatic tube system performance. Collectively, these engineers have over a hundred years’ professional experience designing PTS that help clinicians and staff care for patients.
Adding a building or expanding an existing one introduces new challenges to the PTS, like increasing distance between departments responsible for high volumes of carrier traffic. Our team helps facilities plan appropriately for logistical considerations and projected increases in system usage over time.
Changes in hospital workflow and departmental moves may require adjustments to the PTS in order for it to meet today’s needs. Consulting with facilities, our SDA team studies user behavior, surveys their needs, synthesizes data and test scenarios to create recommendations for improvement.
